Vision for the Future......

It is important to have goals because goals provide a foundation or more of a structure for one to follow. After I graduate from Baruch, I have a many goals that I need to accomplish.
Five of my major goals are to:

Attend an ivy league college to pursue my education at the masters level

Travel the world

NOT SLAVE at a 9 to 5!!!!

Build a series of schools (4th - 12th grade) where financial education is mandatory

Become an Anesthesiologist

As noted "vision without action is just a dream"
As of now I am taking action to assist or help attaining my goals a lot easier. My first major goal is to attend an ivy league school. Right now I am busting my behind to become the best candidate I can by maintaining a high GPA and acquiring the desired characteristics.
My second, third, and fourth goal all stem from actions I am begging now to make these two possible. In order to travel the world, not work to a 9 to 5 and build my schools, I need to be financially set so that I can accomplish all these things. I am taking action by going to school to become educated which will lead to my career, and them me being able to branch out and make additional money through other means. Right now I am volunteering at children schools to learn about the children, working behind the scenes with principles to get more of an understanding about running a school. I am also learning how to write grants just in case I want to start building my school before I am financially set to do so on my own. My last goal listed on this page is to become an anesthesiologist. I have always been very interested in the medical field. Later on in life after I have done the necessary things, I will go back to school to become an anesthesiologist, where I can work a couple of hours at the hospital. This would be my therapy when I get older after I am already financially set so I have something to do with myself beside just traveling and running my school.

Conflict For Credit

This class showed how hard it is to come to agreement over a simple issue. When everyones interest has to be accomodated, it is hard to come to terms over even the simplest . I think one of the major isses we had were conflict over ethics and interests. But reardless of these conflicts, we were still able to come to an agreement because those that did not agree handled there conflict by accomodating. The way I handled conflict throughout the class was kind of an avoidance and collborating. I say both because at one point I felt it was pointless to say anything because it seemed like we were not getting anywhwere towards the last 10 minutes of class. I figured whats the point of even yelling or voicing my opinion when we arent going to go anywhere. I say collaborating too because the group as a whole had to collaborate as a whol e to come up with the ideas and the ultimate proposal that we gave the professor. Even though i did nt yell out any ideas I was one of the students yelling in the background. I forgot what I was yelling at this point but I know that I was saying things, lol. I think if the the class split into groups then we would have been able to accomplish things much faster becuase we spent almost a whole class period on one issue. It was funny how one person mentioned that but people did not want to do it. I guess all that matters is that we were able to come to a decision..........

Poor EGGS...I feel bad for whoverer had to empty the garbage!!

The class activity on planning was a great way to see how well we are at planning. My group did pretty ok during the planning process even though our egg broke :(. Before looking at the steps I actually would not have even considered a structured plan to implement our goals. It wasnt until comparing it to the outlined planning process that we discussed in class that I actually felt we could have done a lot more to be efficent in our egg process. Well first we discussed ideas about the egg, what wouldnt work, what couldn't work and all of the details. When we got the egg, everything was kind of being rushed to get done because of our time constraints. We also had to revise our structure at times. I think the part where we could have improved was towards the end of the planning process. We had the idea in our heads and somewhat one paper, but didnt have the actual technical layout, like the exact science. Like we knew where we wanted to be at the end, but no set exact way of getting there. We just decided that we would fiigure the minor things out as we got our egg. I believed that my team lightly touched all the steps in the outlined planning process, except making a tactical plan. We assigned people some roles, but at the same time I kind of feel like we were more going with the flow of things. We also did not plan on the scissors scenario, but luckily we ended up with a pair pretty quickly. I think if we have followed the planning process outlined in class we could have done that much better. Overall, I do believe that we did pretty good and we got to our end design, but in a less contructed way.
